A contract is an agreement between two or more people and/or companies. The role of a contract is to set forth the agreements of the parties in writing. It is best that the contract be in writing to avoid later disagreements, because we human beings do not possess flawless memories. Some laws require that certain types of agreements be in writing and signed by the parties to be enforceable.
